- 1 cup buckwheat flour
- 1 cup all purpose flour
- 1/2 cup ground flaxseed
- 1 tsp yeast (just for flavor!)
- 2 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp apple cider vinegar
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1 egg
- 1 cup buttermilk
- Poppy seeds for topping (optional)
- Mix all of the ingredients together, except for poppy seeds.
- Form the dough into a large ball, sprinkle poppy seeds on top & place on a parchment paper lined baking tray.
- Score the bread with a sharp knife.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes at 375.
